Naci Dai

OSGi is rapidly becoming technology where we can build and deploy server-side applications. Eclipse Equinox provides bundles for developing Web applications and server-side business components.
Eclipse tools such as WTP provides excellent tools for building Web applications that run on conventional application servers, however WTP tools are not suitable for development of applications targeting OSGi runtimes. This talk will outline the features of a development environment that provides a better user experience and how WTP can be modified to build server-side components for OSGi runtimes.
This talk will feature a demonstration of some experimental tools based on WTP to build a Web application that runs on Equinox.

Chief scientist and founder of eteration, a.s., Naci Dai is a member of the WTP project management committee. Naci is the coauthor of Eclipse Web Tools Platform - Developing Java Web Applications with Eclipse. Naci also leads other Open Source works such as OW2 Lomboz project, which was a part of the initial code contributed to WTP.
