Ken Ryall

Microsoft’s Visual Studio is an important reference point for many developers learning Eclipse. In this talk we’ll take a pragmatic and unvarnished look at the two development environments and discuss the experiences of Visual Studio users when they come to Eclipse. CDT 5.0 includes new features that will make it more accessible to Visual Studio users. We’ll demonstrate these new features and outline additional work to be done.

Ken Ryall is a Software Architect on Nokia's Carbide.c++ team creating Eclipse/CDT based tools for mobile development. He is a committer on the CDT project with experience developing tools for a variety of embedded and desktop platforms. Ken lives in Austin TX, with his wife, daughter, and three dogs.
