Dann Martens

A case study on how the Eclipse eco-system became a one-stop shop for an entire suite of applications.

The ongoing virtualization of broadcast engineering equipment, from specialized hardware-based solutions to more generic software-based counterparts, has opened many opportunities for the use of the Eclipse platform in broadcast engineering.

This presentation outlines the Eclipse projects involved on a case by case basis, as well as their relationship to the realization of a final product. An overview is given of issues encountered and lessons learned.
