Igor Vinnykov

Can you imagine working without a Version Control System? Version Control is one of the core components in most working development environments, and is responsible for data safety. Even if you are a die-hard, seat-of-the-pants style coder, you really should think about test-driving a VCS.

One of the hottest Version Control Systems today is Subversion, which combines all benefits of an open-source project with the maturity of a real enterprise solution. You can work with Subversion from your favorite Eclipse IDE via the Subversive Team Provider plug-in, which is now part of Eclipse. Development of Subversive is sponsored by Polarion Software, which offers a wide range of open-source and commercial solutions based on Subversion:

During this poster reception we will tell more about these solutions, and many benefits they can deliver.

Igor Vinnykov is the project lead of the Subversive project. He is a co-founder of Ukrainian-based IT company Deiotariana, a development partner of Polarion Software. In Polarion, he is responsible for coordination and development of open-source projects based on Subversion such as Subversive and SVN Web Client. Also, he participates in various commercial projects of Polarion Software as a project manager. He promotes Subversion and Eclipse technologies taking part in various conferences as a speaker.
