Companies interested in leveraging open source software are increasingly focusing on that project’s intellectual property. This talk will focus on the steps that an open source project can take to manage their intellectual property in a way that gives greater comfort to companies wishing to consume that project’s code and lessen the number of concerns raised, both from the standpoint of that code’s pedigree and its’ licensing.

Janet Campbell is Legal Counsel and Manager of Intellectual Property for the Eclipse Foundation, an independent, not-for-profit foundation supporting the Eclipse open source community.
