Pawel Piech

Device Debugging project is dedicated to improving the experience of debugging embedded systems with Eclipse. This has already contributed to adding support for custom debug models in Eclipse Platform, creating specialized renderings in the Memory view, and contributing an editor for IP-XACT schema files of the SPIRIT standards consortium. Current development includes an alternative debug model for Eclipse with Debugger Services Framework (DSF) as well as a GDB debugger based on DSF, a more flexible Disassembly view for the CDT, as well as further improvements in Eclipse Platform Debug. This talk give an overview of these developments with a focus on what to expect in the 1.0 release Device Debugging on the Ganymede train.

Pawel is the project Manager for the Device Debugging Project and the architect of the Debugger Services Framework (DSF). At Wind River Systems he has been developing an Eclipse-based debugger over the last four years.
