This session announces the general availability of the new Sprint Next Generation Java Platform for mobile devices – code name “Titan”. The idea for this platform was announced at last year’s EclipseCon and we are now seeing it come to fruition. Titan is based on OSGi and Eclipse eRCP, providing a powerful Java application platform which will soon be deployed on Sprint mobile phones. In this talk, we’ll cover the strategy for Titan, its architecture, and the tools supporting it. We’ll also have a live demo showing the extensive capabilities of this platform for enabling applications with rich function and adaptive user interfaces. Come and learn how your own applications can take full advantage of this familiar looking platform. Co-presenters are lead architects from Sprint and ProSyst.
