Eclipse eRCP project extends the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) to mobile devices. It allows developers to use the existing Eclipse application model to create software the runs on devices. This talk will introduce eRCP, its components and architecture. It will provide an update on what is coming up the next release. Also examples of the industry uptake will be presented.

Gorkem Ercan has more than 10 years of experience with different java technologies. He is the project lead for the Eclipse embedded Rich Client Platform (eRCP) project and also a committer for Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) project. He is working within the Nokia S60 java platform team as the team lead for eSWT and eRCP projects.
