The Eclipse Way recognizes that automated testing and performance tests provide crucial information to allow teams to integrate their code, fix failures quickly, and address performance issues. This talk will provide concrete examples of how to implement automated JUnit plugin and performance tests into your build, on different hardware, VMs, and configurations. We will not address how to build plugins and features from source as this has been covered in previous talks.

Kim Moir obtained a Bachelor of Business Adminstration from Acadia University in 1994. Upon entering the real world, she discovered that tweaking operating systems and open source software was much more fun. She was the system administrator for eclipse.org until she joined the Eclipse Platform Release Engineering team in 2003. Kim works for IBM Rational Software in the Ottawa Lab.

Sonia Dimitrov obtained a BSc PT from the University of Ottawa in 1994. She left a career as a Physical Therapist to pursue her interests in technology, and joined IBM Rational at the IBM Ottawa labs as a Release Engineer in 2001. Sonia has been an Eclipse committer since its inception and continues to contribute to the evolution of Eclipse platform release engineering and build processes.
