This BoF discusses challenges of building, assembling and configuring business components based on Eclipse/OSGi: what standardized components are needed for business applications (provisioning-components, login-components, workflow-components...)? Are there domain-independent components? What components are already available and in use for business applications? Do plugins provide the right granularity for business components? What are appropriate techniques for configuring and assembling business components in enterprise applications?

Stephan is founder and CTO of Weigle Wilczek GmbH. WeigleWilczek is an IT strategy consulting and software development company in Germany. As an Eclipse Member, WeigleWilczek focuses on Eclipse technologies, RCP, and J2EE for development and training.
