of the common questions are:- What can I build? Is there vendor lock-in? what are my alternatives? BEA Workshop for WebLogic and BEA Workshop Studio are two Eclipse based tools which are currently available in the market. Both these products extend Eclipse 3.x and the Web Tools Platform. This talk will focus on some of these extensions and the features which they provide. The talk will also focus on the various technologies and open source frameworks for which these tools provide tooling support. This includes JSR-181 based Web Services, Apache Beehive Controls and NetUI, Apache XMLBeans, Struts, JSF, EJB3 etc. This target audience for this session is all J2EE developers and the goal is to provide a pure technical overview on the various features available which will enable the attendees make an informed decision.
