The Device Debugging project, one of the founding projects of DSDP, is progressing towards a 0.9 release on the Europa train. In the Eclipse 3.2 release, new platform debug API's were released as provisional API's. These new API's were the result of discussions in the DD project. Since 3.2, the project has focused on building the Debug Services Framework (DSF), an implementation of the new platform debug interfaces designed to provide the necessary customizations and features required by embedded debuggers. This short talk will provide an update on DSF and the plans for the 0.9 release.

Doug Gaff is the PMC Lead for the Device Software Development Platform (DSDP) - an Eclipse project focused on building an extensible, standards-based platform to address a broad range of needs in the embedded software development space. Doug is also an Engineering Manager on Wind River's commercial Eclipse-based device software development tool suite, Wind River Workbench. Doug has 12 years of embedded software development experience and holds a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering.
