ECF is a framework for supporting the development of distributed Eclipse-based tools and applications. It can be used to create other plugins, tools, or full Eclipse RCP applications that require asynchronous point-to-point or publish-and-subscribe messaging.
Dr. Scott Lewis is the project lead for the Eclipse Communication Framework (ECF). His friends think he's been working on distributed applications for too long. Although a little goofy about it, he is passionate about making Eclipse/Eclipse RCP an open platform for integrated and interoperable communications applications. Scott also serves as an elected committer representative to the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors. In this role he represents the needs and interests of the Eclipse committers on the Foundation Board.
