Javier Montalvo Orus

The DSDP-TM project provides the Remote System Explorer (RSE) to access and manage embedded and remote devices.
This talk features DSDP-TM potential and demonstrates the solution developed by Symbian to access embedded devices running SymbianOS.
The solution reuses our proprietary technology, and it is a good example on how existing technology can be integrated into Eclipse using RSE.

The product provides solutions for:

The solution can be used on both locally and remotely connected devices as well as with emulator, as it supports a variety of transports, including TCP, serial and USB.

The service architecture provided by DSDP-TM will be the basis of our Eclipse platform for new tools and the migration of legacy tools in the domain of test, analysis and debugging.

This talk is aimed at those interested on target management and developing or porting existing tools to Eclipse using DSDP-TM.

Javier is a software engineer at Symbian. He is a committer of the DSDP - Target Management project, leading the areas of FTP and service discovery. Javier holds an MS degree in Telecommunication from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya.
