Welcome and thanks for joining me on a week full of development wellness! :)

We start with a light dinner on Sunday evening and a few beverages. The wake-up time on Monday morning is early at 6:30am. I recommend this for the rest of the week as well. It gives you enough time to enjoy your breakfast in the relaxing coffee area while talking to other attendees as you like.

Monday is a tutorial day. You have the choice between (3630) Building Service Oriented Bundle Architectures as full day program or a set of shorter sessions consisting of (3626) Eclipse APIs and Java 5, (3607) Building Server-Side Eclipse based web applications [Part 1] and (3719) Building Server-Side Eclipse based web applications [Part 2]. The Eclipse Community Awards & Gameshow are waiting for you at the end of the day.

The program on Tuesday starts with Scott Adams Keynote at 9am. It's now time to learn a few things and we start with some Java 7 Language Features followed by an interesting panel about Eclipse RCP: Experiences along the way. After lunch we continue with an Introduction to Eclipse Data Binding. Then we Unleash the Power of Refactorings in your Products - Experiences from 5 years refactoring support in JDT - and learn a few things about Contributing to Menus with the new API. The last session is a panel about an interesting RCP with Eclipse, Mozilla and OpenOffice: the giant mashup. Your day will finish with a nice Exhibitor Reception.

Wednesday's opening is Robert Lefkowitz Keynote. Thereafter, we will go right into Enterprise Team Development with Maven and Eclipse and then talk about OSGi: Was it good for you too?. In the afternoon we experience the Ubiquitous Eclipse: Equinox everywhere and listen about AOP and OSGi - A Marriage Made in Heaven, Services Everywhere: OSGi in Distributed Environments and Enterprise OSGi - how to tackle the problems of large scale applications in OSGi. In the evening the Poster Reception is waiting for your.

It's unbelievable but Thursday is already the last day of EclipseCon 2007. We have the Herbert Thompson Keynote in the morning followed by a talk for the Eclipse Rich Client Platform: Tips & Tricks and you can also learn how to develop Secure Desktop Applications with Eclipse RCP. The afternoon is significantly shorter by Putting your Build to the Test: Automated JUnit and Performance Testing the Eclipse Way and Using an OSGi Back-end System for the Purpose of Enterprise Management of Eclipse IDEs. We finish EclipseCon 2007 with the Eclipse Community Project Spot Light.

Gunnar Wagenknecht is a software architect at Truition focusing on OSGi/Equinox based server and application platforms. He is an Eclipse friend since 2001, started Planet Eclipse and is a committer.
