Aspect Oriented Programming enables the clean modularization of crosscutting concerns. There are two Eclipse Tools projects relating to AOP: The AspectJ project which developers the compiler and defines the language, and the AJDT project is provides the development environment. There is also an Equinox Incubator project which brings OSGi and AspectJ together. To find out more about these projects, and about AOP in general, look out for the following sessions:

Matt Chapman works in the IBM Java technology centre in the UK as Project Lead for the AJDT Eclipse Tools project, developing the tools and user interface experience to allow developers to get the maximum benefit from AOP.
