Craig Salter

This talk/tutorial will be organized into two parts. In the first half we'll explore some of the open source XML development tools available in the Eclipse WTP project. In the second half we'll look at some of the commercial XML development tools available in IBM Rational products and describe how Eclipse's open source technology is extended and reused to implement a commercial offering. This talk will provide you with a good understanding of the XML tools infrastructure available in Eclipse and how it can be leveraged in your projects or products. Technologies covered will include XML, XML Schema, WSDL, XSLT and XML Mapping.

Craig Salter is a software development manager for IBM Rational Software in Toronto Canada. He works on XML development tools in open source, as a committer and component lead on the Eclipse WTP Project. He also helps to create commercially available IBM Rational software development products. Craig received a BSc in Computer Science from McMaster University.
