Anatole Tartakovsky

Eclipse can help tremendously in development of Rich Internet Applications (RIA) if you have the right plug-ins. In this demo I'll show you Eclipse plug-ins that will help create a CRUD RIA where the front end will be run Flash Player, while the back end will use Java to work with the DBMS. All artifacts (Java, XML, ActionScript and more) will be automatically generated and deployed by the DAOFlex plug-in. Then we will test data access and create / customize interface elements visually directly in Eclipse. We will go through complete development process of typical business application and cover data entry, reporting and integration techniques with today’s J2EE environments. Finally, we will talk about cross-integration of Eclipse tooling with scripting and UI platforms. Plug-ins for logging, deployment automation and documentation will be shown as a part of the demo development.

Anatole Tartakovsky is a Managing Principal of Farata Systems. He’s responsible for creation of frameworks and reusable components.
