Eugene Kuleshov

Mik Kersten

Mylar is a great example how several Eclipse projects can play nicely together. In this talk we would like to show integration between Mylar and version control systems (CVS and Subversion/Subclipse). We will talk about extensibility issues and demonstrate the following features:
-- Automatic task-specific change set management
-- Linking projects to the task repositories
-- Opening Corresponding Tasks for CVS and SVN (Subclipse) from standard Team Synchronize and History views
-- Applying patch from the attachments section in the task editor
-- Other ideas, i.e. support of development workflow (receive task, investigate, fix, commit and resolve issue).

Eugene Kuleshov is a developer and IT consultant with over 10 years in the software industry. He is working with Java/J2EE technology from its early days. Eugene is a committer on Mylar and Subclipse projects. He authored several Eclipse plug-ins, including VisualGC, Splitter Patch and plug-in for Maven 2.0 and contributed number of bug reports, enhancement requests and patches to the Eclipse Platform. You can read his blog at http://jroller.com/page/eu

Mik Kersten is the lead of the Mylar eclipse.org project, and a committer on the AspectJ and AJDT projects. While working Xerox PARC Mik created the IDE support for AspectJ, and plug-ins for JBuilder, NetBeans, VisualStudio, and Emacs. He is now completing his PhD at the University of British Columbia, and focused on helping Eclipse reduce information overload by making the context of the tasks we work on explicit.
