This tutorial is an introduction to the C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) for Eclipse. The CDT is a set of tools for Eclipse that provides a comprehensive development environment for C/C++ developers. The intended audience is new users to the CDT or those with an interest in CDT but havenÂ’t used it yet. In this tutorial you will learn how to create projects, create and edit files, and build and debug applications. This tutorial also includes code importation, standard and managed make projects, and productivity features of the CDT such as content assist and refactoring. The tutorial will include an introduction to the Eclipse CDT project describing the project structure, how contributions are made, how to get involved, and how plans, roadmaps and schedules are communicated to the user community. The tutorial will consist of presentation and demonstrations. Attendees are encouraged to install Eclipse 3.1 and CDT 3.0 on the laptops to follow along with the demonstrated examples.
