Call for Contributions

EclipseCon is the premier technical conference focusing on the power of Eclipse. The first ever EclipseCon in 2004 was an exciting event that demonstrated the vitality of the Eclipse ecosystem. EclipseCon 2004 attracted hundreds of developers from around the world for a unique opportunity to exchange information and ideas about the Eclipse platform.

This year's conference promises to be even better. Eclipse 3.0 has launched the project into new directions, and into an ever-widening developer community. EclipseCon 2005 is where those shaping the future of Eclipse will meet, collaborate and exchange ideas. We'll provide opportunities to learn about the basics, to hear experience reports from people working with Eclipse now and to get a glimpse into the future.

To collaborate, to meet, to teach, and to exchange ideas IS WHERE YOU COME IN. We are looking for top-quality presentations, tutorials, panels, posters, and birds-of-a-feather sessions that will help attendees learn about the Eclipse ecosystem and either use or extend it to help solve problems. Attendees want to hear this information from YOU - the expert.

Ways to Participate
  • Conference Presenter - presenter will discuss information about a specific session topic with attendees.
  • Tutorial Instructor - attendees will work interactively with Eclipse in a full or half-day instructor-lead session
  • Panel Moderator - moderator will lead the participants through a discussion related to a session topic
  • Poster Presenter - presenter will display their poster as part of a special evening event
  • Birds-of-a-feather organizer - organizer will lead the participants through an interactive discussion on an Eclipse related topic
  • Technology Exchange Moderator - moderate will make an introductory presentation and then open a discussion to all participants
  • Exhibitor and Demos- exhibitor or individuals will present their latest Eclipse tool, plug-in or Eclipse innovation

There are many different ways to participate at EclipseCon. Either as a presenter, instructor, moderator, organizer, exhibitor or demonstrator, EclipseCon is the best forum for you to share your knowledge and demonstrate your tools and software.
